YIN YOGA with Birgit NilsonYin Yoga is a quiet practice that uses long held floor postures to stimulate the connective tissue that forms our joints. Each class will target problematic areas of the body such as the lower back and spine, hips and upper legs. This practice helps to restore the natural range of motion in the joints and offers the potential to release some of the body's deeper holding patterns. The focus is less on fitness and more about slowing down and connecting with your body-mind. Mindfulness techniques will be introduced. All levels are welcome. No previous yoga experience necessary. Please bring your own yoga mat if you have one. TOTAL BODY YOGA with Jessica WittmanTotal Body Yoga combines aspects from different styles of yoga, to give you a sense of increased flexibility and strength throughout the entire body. This athletic class will include a variety of standing, seated and floor exercises with an emphasis on core stability and alignment. Variations and modifications will be offered to accommodate beginner to advanced level participants. This format will encourage poise, strength and balance of the mind and body. VINYASA FLOW YOGA with Toni DunneVinyasa Flow Yoga is a well rounded, powerful, dynamic form of Hatha Yoga with an emphasis on breath synchronized movement. This yoga class is designed to cultivate and balance both strength and flexibility, while focusing on proper alignment of the body. Classes consist of sun salutations to build heat, strengthening standing poses, and a variety of other postures such as inversions, backbends, and seated poses.
